Break that! | |
GeBE Computer & Peripherie GmbH has extended their vandal-proof TVG series with a new module: the custom stainless steel front panels now also provide space for an integrated capacitive touch pad. The dimensions of the impact-resistant front panel module are 110 x 100 x 27mm. It is also still available with a mechanical or optical trackball with a diameter of 38 or 50 mm, and with two or three integrated mouse buttons.
Integrated trackball or touchpad
Both trackball and touch pad can easily be integrated into various applications for right- or left-handed users. The trackballs are carried on durable steel bearings, and are either made of a berglass-reinforced plastic or stainless steel, and feature high resistance to chemical and mechanical damage. The modules meet protection grade IP65 and – in combination with the vandal-resistant front panel – can be used for even the highest operational demands.
Integrated Controller
Due to the extensive protection of the electronic components, the guide elements, and the contacts, they are ideal for highly frequented outdoor applications, such as kiosks and information terminals. The integrated controller lets the user choose between PS/2 and USB connections. No additional drivers are required for installation, since standard mouse drivers are used exclusively. On request, the trackball and touch pad can also be integrated into other front panels through GeBE’s custom design and manufacturing processes. |
